Lucy Lounge on a rainy day

Lucy tried out the 4" memory foam topper DW added to make the couch feel more like a couch at home. Approved.

Yup. One of ours got loose in a strange area while I was walking him, and he ran straight back to the Airstream, and waited to be let in.

Bella is a great back seat driver. She is helping me drive on a recent trip with the Airstream.

My stealth (mostly black) Pomeranian mix would do that if I let him. That’s why he and his two brothers from another mother ride on a well secured crate, and the big guy is securely harnessed to a seatbelt in the backseat for safety.

Vader is generally darn hard to find, much less photograph.

Late to this thread, and I'll post a pic later, but Dasponto, your buddies remind me:

It you have loved ONE Golden, you have loved them all... And you will always, always, love them all.
Because you know how they give back to you and others.

We rescued Wheaton from four years of abuse, and gave him five years of the best life he'd ever had. He reveled in every moment of it, and when it was time for us to give him back to God...
It was the saddest moment in our lives; yet we knew we had done A Good Thing.

Thank you for the pics and the memories they evoke.

Rescuing a dog from a bad situation is one of the best things humans can do. The rescued dog responds by giving back all the love they can muster.

All of ours are rescues, and several have passed and are not forgotten. They need their people, give a lot of love, and the only problem is trying to decide who rescued who...I’ve never been sure on that subject.

I've never been loved by a dog the way this one loves me... I am humbled.

Meet "Dara". She's a rescue; half Aussie and half Golden, and for some photos, she seems to have a 'Did I do something?' look...

She can be goofy sometimes - that's her in the avatar, making a silly face. She saw us laughing so hard at her, that she held it for a couple minutes.

Second shot is of her, in 'her' meadow, here on the side of the mountain.

Is Addie a German Shorthair?

I grew up with one, 50 years ago. They weren't common at all, then. 'Maisie' was an excellent gun dog.

Yes she is a six year old German Shorthaired Pointer black ticked in color. She is incredible in the field as long as her trainer (me) doesn't mess her up.

Both Doxies? They are so cute. Bet they have personality to match.

Yep, we have a house full of rescues. Four of them, all off the street. I’m still trying to figure out if we rescued the dogs, or they rescued us. It’s amazing how much love they give once they are off the street. Dogs need their humans...

Have cat, will travel

For a cat who was indoors for the first 4 years of her life, she's quite the outdoor kitty. The minute we get to a new place I let her out of the truck while I park the trailer and she runs around inspecting her new surroundings. She's brought in way too many chipmunks and a few birds. I started making chipmunk pelts, but something stole them from the tree I had them pinned up to to dry (weird, but maybe some bird need them). I built the cage on the back for her to go in and out, and other animals hadnt figured it out, so that was her "porch". Took it off when I thought I was going to sell the trailer (but then didnt), and built her steps outside to another window this time around.
