It's Thursday and just one week and two days 'till we are reunited for a trip to Disney World! Our "Changes in Latitudes" is basking in the sun in her Florida vacation spot (storage lot) waiting to hit the road for the short tow to Ft. Wilderness. I'm counting the days.

It has a repaired LPG line, new LPG auto switchover regulator, and two new polished 30lb LPG tanks sittin' on the newly POR-15'd tongue. Gettin' ready for the Cherry Blossom here. . .
Because - parked right beside it is a '53 Flying Cloud with just towed home dust and grit all over it . Same floor plan, decent shape, and a buddy and his wife are now officially 'streamers. That's two down and 8 to go

Barry & Donna Life is short - so's the door on an Flying Cloud (ouch)
We brought him home from storage yesterday. Boy it's good to see that flash of silver when driving down my street again.

It's Thursday & we have been camping in our 1975 Airstream 27ft International since Sunday. The kids went home today, and my husband and I will be camping by ourselves until Sunday! We are in Mandeville, LA across Lake Ponchartrain from New Orleans, and the weather has been absolutely beautiful. Fontainebleau State Park is coming back from Katrina, but they are still working on it. We hope to see it in its former glory one day. This is a very busy park, and we have seen multiple Airstreams, old and new, coming and going. Airstreamers ARE different, everyone has to check out each other's trailers, and chat like old friends. We have met people from as far away as Minnesota, Tennessee, and Virginia, touring in their Airstreams.
Thursdays are good, but any day is Great in an Airstream!
it's Thursday, and I'm getting ready to load up the safari for our week long trip next week to the Coast at Manchester KOA, then to the Casini Ranch RV Park campround for the Airforums.com rally!!!
Because last weekend I finally got the new Carrier AirV 15,000 Btu heat pump installed! It cools great and last night it got down to 44. It heats well too. Now I can move on to other things.

Last weekend I took off the tarp that closes in the Safari in its garage. I was going to pull it out, but they were calling for rain, sleet and high winds so I left it in. But for the past few days I've been able to see it as I go off to work, knowing we'll be using it soon.
I like that I can pretend to be an industrial designer AND fabricator. Today (thursday april 2 '08) I cut and bent a sheet of .025 aluminum to wrap around a bathrooom cabinet formerly covered in faded/yellowed formica. To this will be added white plex doors, chamfered door-pull recess, and some cool new hinges. Almost every thursday brings some new thrill...
