If you decide to get rid of the kitchen, let me know. I like the idea of old appliances, fixtures and metal cabinets/counters. But don't feel pressured- I know what it's like to save stuff _just in case_ and as soon as you let it go that _in case_ shows up ...

my first thought was to customize it because it doesn't have the interior... but I'm not sure! I was thinking it might be hard to find original stuff to use. I'm really just starting out- having known nothing but that I like Airstreams. In the past week and a half I've been trying to absorb a lot of information.. whew! I might be able to use the kitchen... I have a design idea in mind for the interior but that's a ways away at this point :-)

Ok I uploaded a couple to the gallery- members photos. And the link to what it looked like a while ago, is (I hope I got it right)... once I get it home and opened up I'll get some really good photos.

My trailer is gutted on the inside, missing some windows, but otherwise the shell and frame seem to all be there. I have never done anything like this, but with a background in classic yacht restoration and friends that are into airplanes and all the folks I've been meeting here in the past few weeks, I feel pretty confident that all will work out well. I'm wanting to use this trailer a bunch, so Im thinking I'll build a new modern frame for it, but save the old one as more of a "museum piece". I have a few pix and the vintage airstream site has photos of it a few years back... I think the link is among my Found: 1947 Liner post...
I'll try to get some photos uploaded directly :-)

Great!!! We can have fun doing restores! I'm familiar with classic boats but hopefully I'll do well by the '47 I've got Congratulations on your new baby !
