I AM! Everything is getting fuzzier to me these days... 2005 is the sweet spot for me. I have come full circle and definitely going back. I want to plunk my seat down on a fuzzy cushy couch with those fuzzy walls, Orie having fuzzy floor space and spreading out a few feet. The convertibility of the small space of the traditional 28' (actually 29' no dinette) of the Airstream is more versatile and appealing to me for longer stays. I embrace the formica, textures, colors and patterns that have become the fabric of my life. The tried and true of Classic Airstreams really have convenient, well thought out features. Oh and aren't I mighty glad to be able to exit the rear onto the bumper in emergency rather than the side window swan dive! So back to the future for me 2AIR. Let's hope I can keep up with the theme of turning back time and stay younger too. The time has come, I will not be backwards in an FB model any more. I will straighten up and fly right. Forward thinking these days...
It's Thursday, and I love my Airstream because...tomorrow at 2:45, just as soon as the bell rings, I'll be heading up I81 to Martinsburg, WV to camp in the Excella!! We just bought her in July and this is the "maiden voyage", so I cannot wait! Rick took her up there Wednesday morning, so all I have to do is drive in, fix a drink, and say 'Honey, I'm home!!" ;=)

It is Thursday and I love my Airstream, but am sad that this weekend we will winterize her. Maybe if the weather holds out somewhat we could get another trip in, but doesn't look too good right now.
Well it is the holiest of Grail Thursdays and I like my Airstream because....
(In no particular order)
I am grateful to have a job
I am grateful I have a wife
I am grateful I have an education
I am grateful for my friends and the care packages they send
I am grateful for people I don't even know and the care packages they send
I am grateful there are kids out there who are willing to get hurt because they think it will help America
I am grateful I get to take care of those "kids"
I am grateful for my dog and cat (not that much for the cat, though)
I am grateful for America
I am grateful for God
I am grateful for health
I am grateful for my family and my wife's family
I am grateful for music and bicycles and kayaks and drums and motorcycles
I am grateful I own an Airstream and will get to sleep in it in 10 more "It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because...."
Happy Thanksgiving
John

I am wearing them right now. I may be deployed but they had a Thanksgiving Dinner that couldn't be beat and we didn't get up until the next morning....

It may be Weds but within 24 hours of this moment we will be on our way to Quartzsite to rally our Sears expand-o-matic britches off.
I am especially thankful this year because our son is back from the "Sandbox" and has traded his camo for civy clothes. He has no new holes and all of his original equipment. My prayers were answered. I continue those prayers for the soldiers still there and their families.

It's Thursday and we love our airstream because she saved the wedding. We woke up Sunday morning to no electricity from a 70mph souwester as we like to call storms on the Oregon coast. We have a brunch wedding for 40 in 4 hrs.. The Blue Pearl was in the driveway for the refer and oven if needed. WAY NEEDED. With both the oven and stove working on all 4 burners , the portable generator powering a roaster oven, and a BBQ, we fed 40 guest ham, bacon, eggs , biscuit and gravy, hash brown casserole. We love our Airstream. The rain stopped about 1 hour before the wedding and our son and his bride were married outside overlooking the ocean under blue skies. Electricity came on about 1/2 hour before guests arrived but we all gave the Pearl a big HUG, She helped us pull it off.

I didn't touch the PC on T-day, so let me say (a day late) that yesterday my daughter and I bucked some rivets on the Sovereign. She was excited to be able to work on the Airsteam that she will take to Chaco next summer and use while she's a ranger there.
I'm thankful for some nice father-daughter quality time in the Airstream.
