...we are leaving Saturday for Marathon, Texas & Big Bend for a week. Touring the Chianti Foundation in Marfa, taking a stack of books, etc.

...we take it to a local campground tonight to set up for the weekend, flush the pink and get ready for our mothership trip the following weekend! I am beside myself with excitement! I've probably sent Chris Burch 100 emails since October planning for this trip. He's going to be so glad to see me ... go. :-)

Just because.
Does there have to be a reason?
It is sitting in the front driveway where I can look at it out the window.

I agree! We won't be camping until May but I can visit Tex in the barn any time I want to

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream because......

…I'm taking off from work at noon and heading for Chicot State Park near Ville Platte, Louisiana, for the Two Weeks from Everywhere 2014 Spring Rally and Easter Egg Hunt!

We are loaded up and headed to St. Augustine for my nieces wedding and from there going out west for hopefully a month (as long as everything is running smoothly at the office!). This is our first long trip with our True Love and I have been so excited I have not been able to sleep! The wine is loaded and with any luck, I might be later on too!!!Click image for larger version

Funny, ReMax :-)

....because it's the Tin Goat's last Thursday before a homecoming at the mothership for a dining area seating conversion and some warranty work.

We are loaded up and leaving first thing in the morning to head to Memphis. Plan on enjoying a wonderful Easter morning breakfast sitting on the banks of the Mississippi River watching the barges meander down "Old Muddy".

I love my Airstream because........

I was able to purchase it here in the U.S.A......
My inlaws took this photo yesterday of a rig (unknown type) near Perth Austrailia. She sent it to me saying "I guess Airstreams are a really good deal".
That price reads $65,990....Yikes!

In reference to post #2110, from KSWELCH,
could you help with good campsites near Memphis?
Thanks,
Rick

It's Thursday and I love my Airstream because TODAY is my first day of retirement and Abby, our 2006 Classic 31 will soon fulfill her purpose! Larry retired 2 months ago and yesterday, my last day as a nurse of over 20 years with the University of Florida ( GO GATORS) , they gave me a wonderful party...and as a parting gift, a Campfire in a Can for those chilly camping nites:-) Since we bought her in 2011 from a wonderful women whose husband died before they could achieve the same dream, we have been gettin' her ready:
Brakerite brake actuator
P3 brake controller
Maxim skylights
TPMS
Centramatics
Mud flaps for truck to protect airstream
51 gallon tank to take her farther
TV for bedroom
Smart tv for living area
Bose speaker
Screen room for bug country
Campfire in a can as a retirement gift
Front hitch for bikes to give more room for fuel tank and ease of getting at bikes
Aluminum Rack for truck to haul canoe
Gator decal on front and rear windows to support the Gator Nation of course
And the piece d' resistance: 16" Sendel T03 wheels with 5 Michelin XPS MS2's

I think we are ready for a four month trip to New England, Nova Scotia and PEI. Looking forward to meeting some of you on the road!Click image for larger version

Taking slow at first...have been over 13,000 miles since first bringing her home from PA where we bought her, managing to go camping at least once a month and then a nice trip to Mammoth Caves and Niagra Falls last summer. Already have some great stories to tell and have learned a bunch, but the learning still continues thanks to this forum. Thanks again for the well-wishes! See ya on the road!

Because it's a brand new 25' FC Rear Twin that we just brought home yesterday and are packing to leave this afternoon for a few days. Moved up from a 20'.
