Some truth. Some but... Guess we'd have to know our final purpose and how much we'd be cropping. Just envious of somebody on the road... Quite a few of us will be liking Thursdays a whole lot better as we head to the Midwest Rally next week!

It's STILL Thursday and I like my Airstream because...
....we used her to her full potential last week...we finally broke in the wetbath! Coming from a pop up, we have always used the bath houses-which I usually didn't mind at all. But this trip (6 whole nights) was a lot more humid and we decided to try it. It was wonderful!! We have to learn now what to do to minimize all the "moving" of stuff OUT of the wetbath. We had a bath rug in there, a trashcan, all of our toothbrushes, etc. and we had to move everthing each time-there are five of us! But none the less, we really were thrilled to be using OUR shower! Oh, full hookups were nice, too!

hey fivegreers......way to go.....
ahhhhh the wet bath.....
multitasking at the finest...
just so no one needs to use the head
while you are showering!
it is great to read you had so much fun.....
ok, canoestream i see where you are coming from.....
perhaps we need to post camera, lens and exposure with pics....nah.
while each of these shots are cropped (they started as 3megpix) to fit the forum size....
they are 3 different photos...
using a tripod
and a 35mm, a 100mm and a 400mm lens....
and a delayed shutter release
even then the camera was moving a little with the long lens
and the 20mph crosswinds...
i didn't have a big vibration dampening tripod at hand....
it is about 7:30 pm central...
i'm standing directly between the sun and trailer
at 1000-1200 yards distance..
movement either way changes the angle and reflection....
cheers

Its Thursday and I like my Airstream because...
we're packing the trailer and getting the kayak back up on the truck...
We're going camping again to Lake Huron, at Tawas Point State Park.
It will be our first visit there and they are having a celebration right at the park--looking forward to the music and fun! Its also the last week of school (preschool that is), so the little guy's first idea of summer vacation--camping our way into it!

It's Thursday and we finally got around to letting Williams Airstream's David and Denver install the much delayed Hensley Arrow. Once the "cheapo" GM frame hitch is replaced with the Reese Class V Titan we're off to the high country and cooler climes. Peace of mind brothers and sisters, peace of mind. We hope everyone has a great summer of camping activities and happy trails to each of you!

As I polish mine alone in my drive a little each night I have a greater appreciation for her beauty, THURSDAYS INCLUDED.
Today I had the added excitement of the door latch not working. As I sized up which window to bust to open her up she finally grabbed one last time and opened. I got a quick course in door latch mechanisms from taking her apart and found the center screw had backed out. Whew, I thought it was going to be one of those Thursdays.........

It's Thursday, and I like my Airstream:
We have loaded the trailer and ready to leave this afternoon for a long weekend of camping. Friday is my son's 8th birthday and when we asked him what he wanted to do camping was the reply so off we go.

It embodies my love of camping and travel and to see it, or even think about it, evokes the happiness of anticipated journeys.

because
I love my airstream because it gave me a reason to find the site. This site is full of awsome folks willing to share dreams, thoughts and ideas. I get such a pleasure reading the adventures and seeing the pictures that you share with the rest of us airstream lovers. I love our MH as it gives pop and I the ability to continue to travel and see the countryside. The positive attitudes of all the restorers is a very refreshing start to my day. Thanks for being such an upbeat group.

Because my re-done Axis axle has arrived in Colorado and I can put it on tomorrow when I get back from Vegas! Then I can stock up the Caravel and head back to Vegas on Sunday, which is just the first stop on the way to Salem (Reno, Sacramento, Eureka, Bandon, Salem, Port Townsend {gotta check out the wooden kayak kits}, Seattle, the San Juans, Snake River, Tonopah, Salt Lake, Vail, Palmer Lake, repack and go again...)!
Woohoo.

Its Thursday and I like the Airstream because...
We're gearing up for a two and a half week trip down to NC to see family and sights in between. Checking checklists, closing up the house, hoping we don't forget things I forgot to write down !
Huge reason--It is such a nice feeling to pack the trailer and have room for everything, especially cookware, baking stuff, etc. I was contrasting it with the old tent and packing the car thing, whew, glad those days are done.
