The previous owner of my trailer removed the side radio antenna. I would like to replace it with An original. He left all mounting holes and wires, just covered it with a reflector.
Is this same antenna used on other airstreams or just Argosy?
Anyone else remove theirs and wish to part with it?
It used to be a very common antenna and I did some research a year or so ago for someone who needed the same antenna as you do. As I recall I found it at online AutoZone or one of the online auto stores. It is a round base bolt on system with I think 3 holes. The antenna attaches with a split ball arrangement so it can be adjusted and lined up properly. There is a stiff spring at the base of the antenna itself which allows movement in the wind and prevents it from breaking off if snagged. I have one on my '74 Argosy. The same Antenna was used on many Airstreams of the 70's era.

This is the post I came across while we were looking for an antenna for our 1977 Airstream Argosy and the Amazon link provided above didn't work, so I thought I would provide newer information for 2018
