KARMA.... revisited

I have a few questions about KARMA. I am confused about it, I think in part because I am a Buddhist. You see kharma is something YOU earn on a personal and spiritual level. It cannot be put in a box and given as a gift, but here it can. I have embraced this fact and I have gotten in the habit of giving freely to those that I feel deserve karma. Here is where my problem lies. It seems one of the recipients is not appreciative of the karma I have given. I think perhaps their KHARMA is all screwed up and they do not like my generosity. Is there a way to take back the karma you have given? Can a recipient deny the karma you have sent? Is it possible to change your mind after you have given?

Don’t ask those questions else you lose yourself.

Know where KARMA lives – past that, why worry?

If the meal is heated by fire, the food was prepared long ago.
If the person(s) you gave karma to did not want it, don't give them more. While karma, once given, cannot be rescinded, you can put that person on your "naughty" list, and not further their spiritual journey.
And if it was me you are concerned with, all karma is accepted in the spirit it was given...

Forums karma kinda belongs to the givee once it is passed along. If they will work with you, PM either Janet or me and we'll remove it. If they won't, put them on your ignore list and move on.

And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know it's flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.

Hey, a new KARMA thread - perfect timing.

Where did all my Karma go????????
I'm down to 140+ now but had lots more before the recent software update. Made me feel good.
Did it go to the great Karma graveyard in the sky??
I walk carefully now afraid every day that bad karma is about to get me...
You know - "it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you"
Karma, where is my Karma...... Sadly, I must have left the barn door open and all my Karma ran away.

Thank You 62Overlander for the donation, I feel replenished....

I always wondered what a Karma Chameleon was. Then, I saw a recent picture of Boy George and stopped wondering. Yikes!

Aaaaahhhhh! I've got the solution. What we need to do is to tax people who have excess karma by taking away some of their karma points then those points can be given to people who don't have enough karma and would benefit from having some. You could start with mine. Evidently I'm the subject of karma lust, so if it would do some good, tax mine and give it to someone who would benefit from it.

I don't understand this Karma-on-the-forums thing. How do you know when you get new Karma? I didn't know I had any at all until one day I happened to notice all these messages at the bottom of my CP home page. If there is some type of notification system, I have never noticed it. I have seen people say they were sending Karma to someone in a post, but I don't remember them saying they were sending some to me. Since I found the Karma post on my CP homepage I have sent Karma to others and included a short message with it, but I never knew if that person actually knew I did unless they checked their Karma messages on a regular basis.

So, since I have failed to show my appreciation for the Karma that I have received, I want to take this opportunity to say "thank you" to those who have been kind enough to recognize me on these forums.

Karma Karma Karma

I agree .... I never remember getting any "karma orientation" when I registered on the site.
so please forgive any oversights on my part - I was just karmaclueless.

Is there a protocol to getting Karma. Does one respond or give thanks. What are the rules?

If there is I've clearly been improper. To those of you who have been kind enough to send me Karma I say Thank you.

I still do not understand the original post though. I mean, who WOULDN'T want to get a little karma thrown their way? What the heck could be wrong with getting karma? I loves me some karma.

you've been given good council in posts like 2, 3, 7 and 13 here,

so this may be some of the useless kind...

so search and read and enlighten, isn't that a noble journey?

here is one on the mechanics which are NOW historical info only, since the system has changed....

and not long ago the system allowed for NEGATIVE (RED) k...how weird it that, to be 'giving' negatives to others....

or subtracting from the precious point count...

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f232...tml#post356952

after lots of hard feelings it went away and like once said..."zed is dead baby, zed is dead"...

BUT there is still good background IN that thread/poll and funny stuff too (see post 38/39

and a parody on a REAL system for scoring and such (only a few folks got it) like baazebaaallll...

CURRENTLY...

folks still can put negative or foul comments in the text box along side the green...

it seems there is a thread here explaining how DOING THAT is a 'no no' too...

so would phrases like "damn you" or "could care less, but here's a point" fit that description...

it's best for the sender to...

decide,
inside.
wherein
their spirit
lies...

unless the green paired words contain threats or the receiver 'feels' threatened...

i would (and do) just let it ride, because it really still belongs to the sender, it IS their spiritual baggage.

...Is it possible to change your mind...?
---confusion is good and part of the pathway
---to give freely, judgements must vanish
---appreciation or expecting any response is not part of 'giving' in the true sense
---deciding IF the screws are "up" or "down" is for mechanics NOT on the path...
---how can one take back what is 'freely' given? only empty hands and hearts grasp 4 this sorrow...
---YES, YES...if the mind is open, clear and ready.

the use of the k word here and the a word (avatara) troubles me and always has.

while they are COMMONLY used online/inforums as done here and don't obviously appear offensive,

it IS disrectful to the rich and complex religious origins of those terms...

imagine for example if the forum faces was called your "jesus mugs"?

or the tally of points was labeled "jew money"?

many would be rightfully offended. but it is somehow ok? to use these k and a terms?

read about what those words really represent and u may see the issue differently.
