Acronyms & Terminology List
Here is a place where you can post the acronyms and terms that are much used here and maybe unknown to new Forum Folk......
As of 12/24/06 here is an edited list of what lies below..........
Acronyms, Abbreviations, and terminology.
SOB-- refers to Some Other Brand.....of RV, besides Airstream.
PO....Previous Owner
a TV is not plasma but a Tow Vehicle
WBCCI...Wally Byam Caravan Club International
ASF=AirStreamForums.com ( also know as AIR on our stickers)
PM= Private Message.
RB, CB, FB Rear Bath, Center Bath, and Front Bedroom.
WD= Weight Distribution
Gaucho= a combination couch/bed found in many Airstreams.
IMHO - In my humble opinion
FWIW = For What It's Worth
IIRC = If I Recall Correctly
GCWR = Gross Combined Weight Rating...
GVWR- Gross Vehicle Weight rating
tt = travel trailer
fw = fifth wheel
pw = pop-up
psd = power stroke diesel (popular diesel engined Ford tow vehicle)
tv = tow vehicle
DP...Diesel pusher
CG...campground
MH...motorhome ( also can be a Moho
LOL...Laughing Out Loud
Tandem axle = two axles (there is no such thing as "dual axles")
Dual wheels = two wheels on each end of the axle
Tri-axle = three axle 34' trailer
HaHa= Henseley Arrow hitch

5er - fifth wheel trailer (I don't know why)
FC - Flying Cloud

GVWR- Gross Vehicle Weight rating. Your tow vehicles total weight handling capacity, loaded with passengers and stuff.
Not to be confuse with the tow rating or tongue weight.
tt = travel trailer
fw = fifth wheel
pw = pop-up
psd = power stroke diesel (popular diesel engined Ford tow vehicle)
tv = tow vehicle
DP...Diesel pusher
CG...campground
MH...motorhome ( also can be a Moho)

GCWR = Gross Combined Weight Rating... the highest amount of weight your tow vehicle can handle including all of the weight of both vehicles, cargo, and passengers.

Don't see them much in these forums, but I've often seen DW (dear wife) and DH (dear husband) on other forums. Naturally, some folks take the D to mean something a little more demeaning.
