Hoping to connect with Oregon Airstreamers in spring 2011. We are restoring a 68 Tradewind that needed everything. It's close to usable now and we are very anxious to use it.

Please update plans and we will keep looking.

Beautiful trailer! Just curious about what treatment you used on the interior walls? Did you remove the paint and polish or is it a silver color painted on? Thanks for the info!

    Monah,

Your profile pix is so cool! Did you just put that on or did I miss it. Which would be pretty unusal.

You have a great trailer and great style. I just bought a 66 sovereign and I am going to do a remodel. A couple of questions if you don't mind. How did you refinish the cabinets? I want that chocolate brown look. What was the flooring you used? And where did you get the red overhead lights. Once again great job.

I am anxious to see pics of your trailer decked out for Xmas. Sadly, when winter arrives over here you really are not able to use your trailer. We just got back from Phoenix and it is a white winter wonderland. Maybe vintage tinsel on our tree in the house.

We are a fun busy thanksgiving, finally finished all the dishes and the turkey roaster is back in the pantry . Leah picked up the Airstream at Lowes for us and put it up for Thanksgiving night with all the Christmas light AWESOME!!!

    Monah & Doug,
We think your rehab is by far the best we have ever seen.

Really nice to hear from you. Coincidentally, I was talking to a friend of mine about your AS when I saw your msg. I think it is awesome. I am so inspired by your design work that we will be doing a little more work on Gracie this winter.

Smile and have a cold for me.

After the 2.5 year restoration of our '69 Tradewind you would think I could have learned a little patience!! It's been almost a year since I brought home BubbleLicious - my beloved '58 Bubble and, with a few distractions along the way, her restoration has begun in full force (yay!)

Electrical is all done (apparently I have more outlets than our electrician's apartment ), our custom-built 110v Fantastic Fan is installed, 95% of the insulation is installed and we're soooo close to

It's been a crazy busy year personally and professionally....sadly the only thing I haven't been working on is BubbleLicious, my beloved '58 Bubble. OK, well maybe that's an overstatement - she has a Design Board complete with materials and inspiration, and actually is fully merchandised....and....drumroll please, the remodel is about to begin! Her 1960's Overman couch is being recovered as we speak (read) and we're hoping to get the electrician in this weekend to start working his magic.

OK, so it's only 16' long and weighed hardly anything but the safety checks and theory are similar. Here's a link It to my latest installment of the AskMona blog on TrailerChix.com.

As a follow-up to Rose and her misfortune towing her Shasta, and quite the topic of conversation in our AS Unit....particularly since our Unit Prez came rolling into a rally last weekend pulling her 28' AS and NAILING the parking on the first go!!!

Hope you find it informative - safe travels
