I saw that story about the rescue of the Bambi II. I hope the restoration goes well and does not turn out to be a basket case. I'll try to follow the progress. You need to focus on the Bambi II in New Mexico. The owner has GREAT EXPECTATIONS!

I was able to find internet access at the local library here in Bowie, MD. I thought I would drop you a line while here. Regarding the Balloon Fiesta, can we reserve for two rigs? One is a non-Airstream Class C motorhome traveling with us. We are WBCCI #9615, 27' International. Regards,

Hi Ken, how are you? Just a short note to say we're ankle deep in our Airstream project. I still refer back to your blog for inspiration on a regular basis. Did you ever sell your wonderful Overlander? I now know it would have been better value to buy yours and endure the stress and cost of importing as our budget for overhaul is going to comfortably reach GBP40K including purchase price of trailer. And that's with quite a few compromises. No regrets though, I'm enjoying everything. Bye for now

Hello,
Just checking in with you. We are so excited about attending the Balloon Fiesta in October!
We want to be sure that our arrangements are correct:
We have reserved space at the Grants/Cibola Sands KOA for Thursday night, Sept. 30th and departing Friday Oct. 1st. We asked to be in the same area as the other Airstreams. Is this the correct KOA, and dates?
We aren't sure how we will get to the Fiesta field with everyone. Do we all leave the KOA together and drive together? What if someone (us) get's left behind? Where do we meet up on Friday? How does the "grand entrance" work, where all go in together? Is there a specific road we should line up on? Do you have any specific locations/info for us yet? We have a map of the Fiesta grounds and wondered which RV location we will be in: President's Compound, VIP #1 East, VIP East #2, VIP West and Standard and Premium RV sites.
Sorry for bugging you - but we are first-timers and don't want to miss a thing!

I was wondering if I could get a photo of the front of your Dometic refrigerator? Grew up with similar vintage but smaller Airstream. The refrigerator was brown and there was a round Dometic logo on the door with a rising sun as I remember.
