Collapsible table missing
I finalized the purchase of my 1976 Overlander today, and the table that should be in the front area has long since been removed from the wall. I can see the screw holes, but no bracket or other hardware is present. Would it be easier/better to build something myself or find one online?

Congratulations!
I don't think it should be too difficult to find someone gutting a 70s Airstream and getting their table if you don't mind waiting for it. Keep an eye on the 70s forums, and maybe send a few pms to people doing projects that look promising. You probably want one close by that you can pick up in person, since it would be expensive to ship something that large and heavy. Alternatively, you could ask for just the hardware and replace the tabletop.
Unfortunately, we chucked our table quite some time ago.

Thank you for the suggestions. It is not a priority at this moment, but I'll keep an eye out. I had considered making my own top but would like to keep to the authentic style if at all possible.

If the 78 is compatible then I would be interested for sure. Thank you. Please let me know how much you'd like to sell it for. I'm I'd love to have the shelf as well. Mine has neither. If you come across the clock/thermometer combo with or without the bezel I'd love to have one of those, too. I've been looking and the only solution so far is to have one made aftermarket. I don't have to have a working one, but want to have it in its appropriate spot on my overhead storage area.

I have every thing you need, free, as long as you pay the shipping. Recommend you plan on making your own table top as it is pretty heavy. PM me if you like.

I am trying to arrange a date to pick up some mattresses from another member in the Mount Pleasant Texas area. If I can get with her in the next few days I could maybe take a different route and swing by close to you and deliver them in person at a meetup. I have all three things your looking for including a complete clock, monitoring thingy. I found the curved shelf last night. I will PM you some pics and a price for the stuff and let you decide if they are something you could use in a few days when I can arrange a date to head that way with the other member to save a trip. Give me a few to talk to her.

If it is the correct clock/thermometer(it's the vertical one) I'd love to have that too. If the timing is right, I can meet you in Mt. Pleasant. It's only 45 minutes from Texarkana. We'll communicate via pm and I'll check for those photos. Thanks again!

Ok my mistake. I dont have the vertical clock, I have the command center thingy that goes somewhere else. In a day or two we need to put our heads together about the shelf as their are two different styles around this timeline. One runs the full lenght from the kitchen counter to the front curve and beside the gaucho, The other style is just a short piece behind the table. You also got another nibble from Ohio and between the two of us we ought to get you hooked up with something that is functional. I will stay in touch.

We had the fold out table in our 72 Tradewind. It was a beast to fold out and wasn’t comfortable to sit behind it on the gaucho. I had a carpenter friend help me cut it down so it was easier to set up and didn’t extend so far that you had to slide behind it.
If you get a used one you’ll probably want to do the same modification.
