1962 Aisrteam Safari 22'

Last weekend my wife and I drove all the way from central valley California to Farmington New Mexico and back to buy a 1962 airstream safari. We were able to haul back with only one issue. The tail lights didn't stay on when head lights were on however the lights signaled and brake light work when I would brake though. But this I'm sure is the least of my worries for this airstream may need a frame off restoration. It's not in horrible condition but I was told it has sat for over twenty years. Everything seems to be original inside and still has all the appliances. Only has one soft spot on the floor by the door and missing back window. I plan on posting more pics through the process. I'm open for any advise as I go along. Click image for larger version

I'm sure the red and blue lines are not original. Doesn't show in the pictures but you can see numbers and says Wally Byam Caravans? I'll try to get it to show in the time I take some pics of her.

Congrats on finding your 62 Safari - looks in pretty good shape. We just picked up a 64 Trade Wind, in not as good shape as yours (interior shot). Ours as well had sat in an AZ desert for 20 years, and needs to be restored. Hopefully we can compare our stories as we travel down the restoration process.
