80 rolls! Heck, I wouldn't be able to get into the bathroom if I stored that much in the trailer.

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.
In the Going Home series of books by A. American, an EMP essentially puts America back to the survival stage, and as his family runs out of TP, they resort to the use of a Personal Cloth.
Essentially a hand towel, wash rag or diaper u use to clean yourself up with, and then clean and soak in a bucket of soap and bleach, hang to dry for next use.
For you bidet experts, I have questions.
1. Face the wall or out?
2. Cold water jet?
3. Do you adjust it first? How?
4. Doesn't it shoot everywhere, including, but not limited to my pants?
4. The only thing worse than TP is wet TP.
I've had hotel rooms with one, and never figured it out.
Depends on the model. Toto Washlet is a replacement for your regular toilet seat. Plugs into the wall. You use it like a regular toilet. Heated seat (nice!), when you sit on it, it spritzes the toilet bowl so stuff doesn't stick to the porcelain. Senses when someone is sitting on the seat so it doesn't spray when unoccupied.
You do your business.
Use the remote control to turn on the sprayer which extends from the back of the toilet seat. You control the place where it sprays (men and women are different), the water temperature, the water pressure, oscillation, and air drying blower. Never runs out of warm water, has a instant water heater.
The reason everyone is hoarding toilet paper is that they are eating their own cooking for the first time.

And here I thought that it was such a laugh when, as a student in Germany, I used to board a train at the station (without ticket) and "borrow" some of their toilet paper. At least the other people at the dorm appreciated it!

Yeah, the Japanese are WAY ahead of us in toilet innovation. Some of those I saw in Japan had players built in so you could do your business to beautiful music, heated of course, and all other modcons you can possibly imagine.
One of my neighbors has the answer to the question of why toilet paper is in short supply. With this COVID19 pandemic, if one person sneezes, a dozen more crap their pants! That’s not an easy clean-up!
I ordered 50 meters of elastic after I ran out making masks. It's been over 2 weeks, and no elastic yet. I finally looked up my order and it's coming from China.... OOPS. I'll probably get it about the time we no longer need masks. What the heck am I going to do with all that elastic? Good thing it's spring. I can use it to tie up plants maybe.
We have no shortage of flour here in Minnesota. Gold Medal makes sure of that. Masks, not so much. 3M not as friendly. Eggs are being rationed here, as well as the now usual TP. No cleaning supplies except Windex.
I bought vitamins at Walgreens and they are only allowing 2 packages per patron. Ok, TP I can sort of understand, but VITAMINS????
Clinic we go to is closed. I got called to set up my 6 month appointment by phone or teleconferencing. Ooookkk. I understand, sort of. I'm sure I'll get charged the "usual" fee for it too.
Strange times we live in. "May you live in interesting times" as a curse makes more and more sense as we get older.
It's ironic.
I was down to one roll and was going to wipe out the Airstream supply if necessary.
My neighbors found some and bought me a four roll pack. Earlier this week I hit the grocery early (7am) and the shelves had a modest supply. So I bought a 9 roll package of the stuff I use.
The irony is I went from almost none to now having 14 rolls! I never keep 14 rolls of TP on hand!
Go to Walmart for t.p. shelves are empty.
I headed over to the rv section, 4 packs of easy dissolve on the shelf. Yes, it's thin, and helps you "get in touch with your inner self", but they had plenty!
Ditto, “May the fleas of ten thousand camels infest your armpits!”
Very rich language for profanity as well.

It's called the Chinese curse, but there is actually no Chinese equivalent. It's most likely an English expression that was mis-attributed to the Chinese.

I like the "fleas" curse, evokes a thousand itches.
Do you know the "interesting times" curse in Cantonese? The post below yours indicates that it is not Cantonese/Chinese at all. Do you know its history?
Married to a native speaker...she says it’s true, and DW is not one you can argue with...

Hi, for about five weeks now, I believe, People were buying up all of the toilet paper. I don't need any, but I never see any in the stores. The shelves are all empty.
We, for many years bought the huge pack of Kirkland toilet paper. When we were down to the last bundle and when it was on sale, I would buy another huge pack. We store it in our garage with other huge items from Costco. Well one day Costco had Charmin on sale so my wife wanted to change. It was the Ultra Soft one which I don't like. Then Costco had Charmin Ultra Strong on sale so I bought a huge pack of that for me. Now about one month after buying these two huge packs of toilet paper, we heard from my Daughter in Victorville that people were lined up at Costco to buy toilet paper and bottled water. I also keep a case of bottled water from Costco in my garage at all times.
I hope no-one breaks into my garage to steal our water and toilet paper.

The Charmin Ultra Soft works well in the Airstream toilet and falls apart quickly in the black tank. DW prefers it as well.
I keep it in stock in the Airstream sufficient for an extended trip. She does not like the Kirkland version.
