Unfortunately, my now ex fiance and I called off our wedding. This trailer was supposed to be what we used to travel around the country in our free time. Now that we are no longer together, I look at the trailer and have too many memories and too many reminders of what it once was.
The Airstream is sitting on an entirely new frame built by myself, my father, and my ex's father. All made of boxed steel. 1/4" main frame rails and 1/8" crossmembers and outriggers. The trailer suspension is Timbren axle less setup with four wheel electric drum brakes. The floor is Coosa Blue Water 26 and most of the major skin repairs have been completed. All windows are still in hand one taken apart. The door was removed to do patch repairs.
This would be a great project for someone to pick up who doesn't want to do the legwork for gutting an old airstream and performing frame repairs or major body repairs.
I really hate to see this trailer go as I really wanted to finish it. I'm looking to get 12,000 or best offer which still has me losing money, but the knowledge gained was well worth the project already.
My entire build progress can be found on airforums. I cannot add the link but it is titled '77 Excella 500 31' Off Road Build.
Will negotiate a price to drive and deliver it to you if you'd like.
9/28/2021 Price drop 13,000 or best offer. I will be re hanging the windows as is and washing it.
