    Hello!

We recently purchased the exact same 31' 1977 Excella and we'd like to do a shell off renovation. I would like to hire a welder to help us do what you did, I'm curious though and need to do a lot more reading and research, but when you say it's shorter than the original, why and does that allow you to do the Timbren 5200lb axle-less suspension or can you do the Timbren axle-less suspension even if it is the original length?

Thanks for your time and sharing in great depth you progress !!!! It's inspiring and extremely well done and thought out!!

    Your forum quote:

Final measurements on them for anyone wondering is 26 ft 7-3/8 inch.

That's a whole foot shorter than what's on the original frame. The crossmember that the shell sits on will be the end cap for the main rails.

Once finished, this new frame will be 10 inches shorter than what it originally came with.
