I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

This “Whale Tail” is a completely updated and modernized 1955 Flying Cloud Custom. This trailer has all of the conveniences of a new Airstream with the charm of a Vintage model. It is a “shell-off” reconstruction which started as a 22 foot “Wide-Body” Airstream. It was stretched 3 feet (to 25 feet) in order to incorporate a second axle, separate shower and toilet, and twin beds. (In 1955-1956 the California Airstream Plant built a limited number of trailers 6 inches wider than the standard Airstreams of that period.)

Rich walnut wood used for all walls, cabinets and lockers. Marmoleum flooring installed before any cabinets were placed. Interior aluminum skin painted using high grade oil base acrylic enamel. Front and rear aluminum interior end caps stripped of paint and polished to a high mirror finish. Major appliances and equipment listed below:
