Title: 1955 Airstream Flying Cloud NULL - Montana
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

This “Whale Tail” is a completely updated and modernized 1955 Flying Cloud Custom. This trailer has all of the conveniences of a new Airstream with the charm of a Vintage model. It is a “shell-off” reconstruction which started as a 22 foot “Wide-Body” Airstream. It was stretched 3 feet (to 25 feet) in order to incorporate a second axle, separate shower and toilet, and twin beds. (In 1955-1956 the California Airstream Plant built a limited number of trailers 6 inches wider than the standard Airstreams of that period.)

New insulation throughout - ½ inch polystyrene insulation sandwiched between two ¼ inch aluminum foil backed Prodex
Two 100 watt solar panels mounted on roof
LED lighting throughout interior
Twin beds
Reversible upholstery
All new kitchen appliances
All new electrical systems, fixtures and accessories
All new plumbing systems, fixtures and accessories

Interior:
The interior layout includes rear twin beds, water closet, separate stainless steel shower, clothes closet, kitchen, and front “U” dinette seating. Rich walnut wood used for all walls, cabinets and lockers. Marmoleum flooring installed before any cabinets were placed. Interior aluminum skin painted using high grade oil base acrylic enamel. Front and rear aluminum interior end caps stripped of paint and polished to a high mirror finish. Major appliances and equipment listed below:

Atwood 6 gal. DSI gas, 110 Volt combination water heater.

Electrical:
All new wiring. Minimum #12 wire gauge used for 110 volt and 12 volt systems. Major electrical equipment listed below:
Furrion 30 Amp Inlet
Progressive dynamics 4060; 60 Amp Converter plus AC/DC Distribution Panel.
Two – Exide MC31 AGM batteries.
Two – 100 watt solar panels mounted on roof.
AM Solar MPPT solar controller and monitor.
Used all LEDs for interior lighting.
3-way switch for interior ceiling lights.
LEDs for exterior running and brake lights.
Sealevel Holding Tank Monitor system.

Plumbing:
Ceramic toilet and sink in wash closet.
29 gallon gray tank, 29 gallon black tank and 22 gallon fresh water tank.
½ inch PEX piping with brass fittings for all water lines.
Shutoff valves for all water connections
Electric operated valve for filling fresh water tank from shore connection.

4-Stabilizing jacks
Exterior Airstream SS shower.
SS exhaust vent
SS water heater door
