Ducted air in FC 30

Considering used 2014 FC30 bunk with 2AC's vs 2016 same model. Not sure but think the 2014's didn't have ducted air and have seen reference here that folks really like it. For those who have had both has ducted been a huge difference-maker? Thanks!

The difference is huge. I bought a 2015 FC 30 to replace my 2005 Safari 28 for that reason! The noise level is reduced dramatically and it is pleasant to stay in the trailer with the AC on. You will appreciate a second AC unit on 28 and above. I would never go back to a single AC unit.

Noise level and comfort level is greatly improved in our 2015 30 FT FC. I had a 30 Ft Land Yacht MH with two ACs and a 27 ft. Safari with one AC.

The 50 amp cord is heavy and awkward, but I keep mine in a plastic tote and only uncoil what I need and then slip the tote under the trailer. When finished, I coil the cord back into the tote and put the tote in the Airstream trunk. If conditions do not require the second AC, I use a 30 amp electric cord.

The ducted Air conditioning is a HUGE improvement over the ceiling mount units. In my opinion, it is the most significant single improvement that Airstream has made in the last twenty years.

We have had both in a 30' Flying Cloud. One a 2012 and now this one our 2015. The difference as noted by others is significant. Noise is actually minimal with the ducted AC, a little louder with the Heat Pump on. With the two ACs running in our 2013 Non Ducted it was difficult to talk and hear the TV or radio. We will keep our ducted unit over non any day.
