We bought the Camp Chef "Tailgater Combo” about 2 months ago and have used it on 5 trips so far. We love it. It's basically the Explorer-60 2-burner stove, with 14" griddle and 14" grill box. Love it. Versatile. It’s a bit bulky to carry around in the truck bed, but it’s versatility makes up for it. We also use a 12” dutch oven on it, and any of our everyday pots and pans. The burner flame is somewhat sensitive to wind, especially when on low.

As already mentioned, recommend carry bags for all the pieces and parts. Also the patio cover. Overnight we will leave the stove set up with the patio cover on it. But the griddle and grill box get stowed each night. Forgot to stow the griddle one night and found sandy raccoon prints on it the next morning.

Had to season the griddle (2 cycles in the oven at home), and it has been easy to keep clean since, with no rust. After cooking, I spritz with water while is still hot and wipe off, then follow with a thin film of oil and its good to go.

Camp Chef

Like others, we use a Camp Chef 2-burner. Ours is an older model Weekender (no longer made) that we purchased 6-7 yrs ago, primarily for the powerful burners and able to use on propane quick disconnect. It’s nice to boil water quickly for things like pasta. We do most of our cooking outside whenever possible.

Some years ago we cut down the legs for easy table top use at a height the better matches my 6’3” frame. Much more stable. About 2 years ago purchased a 2 burner “pro” model Camp Chef griddle that while not made for this stove, works very well. ... the heat diffusers match the burner placement near perfectly.

Both have travel cases and fit easily into the rear compartment along with the quick connect 20’ propane hose.

Camp Chef makes updated stoves that I would purchase should ours wear out.
