New mattress for Bambi 16

We are looking for a firm replacement mattress for our (new to us) 2006 Bambi 16. We are considering a Mattress Insider ‘Park Meadow’ pocketed coil mattress, but have concerns about how well the mattress will fit the cross bed with two radius corners. Our current mattress is a tight fit and has a ripple in the surface pad. Anyone have experience with a pocket coil mattress in a cross bed?

I am replying to my own post.

We ordered a firm pocket spring mattress from AB Lifestyles on February 8 and it arrived today, 14 February. I installed it easily with wife’s help and it is very comfortable at first test. ABL has a 60 day return policy.

Initially I wanted to order a similar mattress from Mattress Insiders but their terms and conditions we’re not very favorable. No returns on custom mattresses, so you get to buy a pig in a poke.

We will be planning a trip soon, and that is far sooner than expected because of the prompt service from ABL. I will update later on our satisfaction after a fair test.

We slept on the new mattress for two weeks while traveling in south Florida in mid March. It is moderately firm and comfortable in warm weather (temps never got hotter than 80 F and nights were less than 70 F). I forgot to mention that the mattress was constructed one inch shorter and narrower than Airstream specs for the platform. That made changing sheets and tucking covers easier. We’re very happy with the mattress and it seems to be very well-made. So, gonna keep it.
