Back to Aluminum

Two years ago we sold our 28' Classic trailer and bought a 365XC diesel pusher motorhome. The thought was we would full time when I retired, so more space seemed logical and justified. We spent a lot of time, effort and money getting it the way we wanted and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. If you have never owned a motorhome, you can't appreciate the benefits as you drive down the road, set up camp, etc. But, with the passing of time, our retirement plans have changed. We will not be full timing, more like half timing, as we intend to keep a house. So, its back to aluminum for us. This weekend we will bring the motorhome to the house, de-winterize, remove the personal stuff and take a lot of pictures. Then all we have to do is sell it, find another trailer, fix it up the way we want and go camping. Maybe someone will lend me a trailer while all of this is going on!

We are "half-time" Airstreamers as well. Our travel months take us from the northern winters, perhaps yours to escape some summer heat of the Southeast. Best of both worlds, come and go as you want. The Airstream is a great way to do it.

Seems to me half timing is the same as full timing so why start over having to find a trailer and tow vehicle when you've got the motorhome nailed down to your liking, especially when you stated the benefits above.
