Airstream daily

Administrator-can't you do something about this horrible pop up. It's hard to log in between that thing popping up all the time. I don't know it is trying to accomplish, but joining it doesn't work. PLEASE STOP THAT DAMN THING. Thanks

I hardly ever go on the forum anymore as I am tired of this pop up and lack of support in getting it under control.

There was a recent thread about this...maybe more than one.

If you go into your User CP, click on Edit Options. All the way at the bottom is a radio button for "Airstream Daily Popup Toggle". I have mine set to "On", which I assume means that the popup is blocked. Sort of counter-intuitive to me.

At any rate, it seems to work with that setting "enabled", so to speak, on all of my Windoze devices. The weird thing is that I still get the popup every once in a while on my Apple Ipad 2 (last weekend, for example) when using Safari. After a few minutes, though, it just stopped popping up. Weird. Maybe it's a cookies thing, who knows.

Jim

Edit: I also remain logged in most of the time by clicking the "remember me" check box next to the login area at the top of the page. When not logged in, that thing is a real pain.

This comes up about once a month as a discussion. It is really annoying.

Also, I experience the web page crashing often. A pop-up window notifies me that the web page has stopped working and is not responding. I find this is the only site that does this.

Anyone else have this issue?

Not since I repaired/reset my internet hub and shifted to Google Chrome. Pat

LOL, I love how someone is alway complaining about this thing. Yes, it's stupid, and it's spammy.

I have an old email account I have access to but never use. I told the pop-up to use this email, logged in and confirmed the invitation. The pop-ups stopped, I assume those messages go to that old email. I don't see any reason why you couldn't set up a yahoo account and do the same thing. Nothing says you have to read those emails.

Rich its not the emails but the pop up that interrupts your attempt to sign onto the forum.

I'm do glad I use this forum on my phone and tablet. No pop up!!!

But on the rare occasions I use a desk top I challenge myself to type fast and get signed in before it pops up.

Once you sign up for the email I guess it sets a cookie. I don't get the pop-up anymore and I never go to that email account. It can fill up that account if it wants to, as long as I don't get notified
