Airstream Daily popup
Is there a way to stop this Airstream Daily popup. It shows up each time I log in. It has become a nuisance.
Thanks,

Was responding as well in honorable complaint and in doing so, pop up interrupted 3 times...literally. Even signed up after weeks of agony interupts.
On a another note this pop up interupts site use 2 to 3 times more than the actual human clicks.
PLEASE mr. WIZARD, MAKE IT STOP !
Really reduces the pleasure in using this site. :/

HA! And I thought I was the only one! It seems to work better with Firefox vs IE8...going in through Firefox, then getting logged in real quick, then I don't have a problem...but you're right...something did change just a few weeks ago.
Thanks, G

For those of you having trouble with this we've added an option to disable this entirely via your profile settings.
Look for the last item under edit options http://www.airforums.com/forums/prof...do=editoptions and the hit save at the bottom.

Yep, Adblock works! I use it with Google Chrome. It works with Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, Android and Internet Explorer.

Animated or video ads robbing computer resources!

Yes, perhaps I need something like Adblock, because I have noticed over the past few months the insidious increase in ads with animations and videos resulting in longer time for AirForums' webpages to complete loading in, and what's worse is that they are using more of my computer's resources and after reading a few pages or threads my MacBook Pro's fan is racing to cool down the computer... and I move on to more computer friendly sites!

Yes, this works just fine, once you are logged in to AirForums.
But the problem that I occasionally have is that when first logging in with my new stronger (and longer) password, the "Airstream Daily" popup pops up in the middle of the log-in procedure (25 seconds after the webpage first appears) and interrupts the entering of my password.
I understand that if I don't clear my cookies, the site will observe my wish to disable this promotional popup. Buy my computer is a bit old and I need to frequently clear my recent history and cookies to keep the computer from slowing down and/or "freezing", especially when so many website sites feel the need to have so many ads using video or audio resulting in a drain of computer resources.
One thing that would help would be for the "Airstream Daily" promotional popup to be delayed by at least 60 seconds when the AirForums' home page first appears.
Thank you,
Bill
