Cheapest Airstream I've Ever Seen
Found this on Craigslist and thought I'd pass it along to anyone who might be able to rescue it. I am in no way affiliated with this trailer or the seller, I just want to share the knowlege.

Someone rescue this thing and give it a home. The price is right.

actually has gone up..
I think that's been listed on the VAC for free for about 3 months - those are the "good" pics. The amount of dung/ etc in there is increadible! I thought about it for awhile, but the gunshot blast, and bad streetside made me cringe!

I would take it in a moment. Looks like it has 14 decent segments that would sell for $100 each. And some good windows.
Landfill the rest.

It really needs to be parted out and, like MarkDoane, would take it in a minute but I only want parts off it. Windows, segments, water fill inlet, battery box, MHMA emblem. That's all I can tell from the small pictures. OK, who lives around SLO that could strip this poor thing and salvage the useful items?
BTW - it's a '59 Overlander. Dead giveaways are the in-the-shell overhead lights and the location of the Airstream emblems being below the end windows.

. . . and the very desirable "door-in-a-door", although it needs some patching.

I'm going to show this to my wife when she thinks I'm a poor housekeeper.

I found some more pics
I'd thought about it earlier....
Notice the eaten curtains and the amount of uh... "stuff"(?) on the floor.

I really wanted it...
I love that fender style. I was thinking of taking the shell off, and making a new floor, etc. Just don't have the time/space to make it happen. I'd hate to see it parted up. You can click and make them bigger... I WARNED you!

Any idea where it's located?
I'd love to strip it for parts!

It's in San Luis Obispo and I want a few of the parts myself. Marc, you did warn me but I didn't heed your advise. Where did you get bigger pictures?

So Sad
So sad to see Airstreams like this, my question is how and why could someone let it get like that? What would eat those curtains like that?

Just wish there was a bone yard where we all could put salvageable AS's like this one and the MANY Katrina AS's and all can access for parts. I know, this involves money AND time AND land AND........ Just a pie in the sky wish. Hate to see these things melted into beer cans (although that is a good use in my book ).

If someone here does buy for parts. I could sure use the front door hinges if they are working.
