How to belly pan the spare tire area?

'73 Safari.

I took my front pans and banana wraps off to do some work up front. I plan on having the open space for the spare tire carrier.

I'm good on everything except how the front of the open area should be finished out. I think I understand that the belly pan comes up to the A frame area but doesn't wrap up into it. I'm not sure how to finish out the very front, as shown in the pictures.

There is an L-shaped piece of trim that covers the front hold-down and wraps under the front.

I would appreciate any photos of what this area looks like from underneath if you have the spare tire carrier. I have found lots of pictures of the rest of this area, but not the very front as in my pics.

Thanks for any help.

I glued a piece of .032 aluminum to a piece of 1" foam and then layed that down on top of the A frame, aluminum side down, then put the new ply floor on top. I outlined it on my "71 Globetrotter Full Monte" thread. I also made a rant about removing the ply from under the C channel up front.

Thank you, but I don’t think I was clear enough on what I’m looking for.

I’m all good on what your described. I’m looking for what to do with the L-shaped flashing at the very front. With no belly pan to attach to it, it’s just flapping in the breeze.

I attached a piece of aluminum to the A-Frame cross member and that was all there was to do. I will get you a picture tomorrow.
