Change out Converter

I have a 1990 Excella 34 and want to remove the Univolt converter and replace it with a Progessive Dynamic Inteli-Power, model PD-9245c. Has anyone done this and if so, where there any problems.

Also interested. Are the bolts securing the original Univolt accessible to remove the converter? I have read many threads concerning Univolts, but none that were year/model specific. Thanks in advance.

I replaced the univolt on my 1970 Overlander with the Progressive Dynamics along with a new fuse panel that has the new automotive style fuses. Replacing it was fairly easy. I purchased mine from Out Of Doors Mart and they have a diagram under the how to section on their website. You will be glad you made this improvement.

we change to to a victron 3000k converter and inverter. it works very well for us
