Question Tire - Axle Brake Maintenance

I have a three year old AS International. It has approximately 3000 miles under its belt. Question, apart from maintaining tire pressure, checking tires for nails or unusual wear, are there any additional afety measures I should take e.g. rotating tires, packing brakes etc. I am not too mechanically inclined,, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I rotate about every 3000 - 5000 miles.

What bearings do you have. Standard bearings should be repacked...some say annually...I would repack every other rotate. I have Nev-r-lube bearings, so I check them for lateral run-out whenever the wheel is in the air...at rotate time, and check their temp with an infra-red thermometer while on the road at fuel stops.

Brakes are checked also whenever the wheel is off (discs). Drums should be checked whenever the bearings are inspected/repacked. Shoe adjustment (non-self-adjusting type) every couple thousand miles.

Tricky title. I thought you going to say your axle actually had a failure.,
