Hub Size for a 2011 - 22' Sport

I'm having new tires, brakes and bearings installed on my 2011 22' Sport. It has the 15" wheels.

Do these have a 12" hubs? or some other size? I'm going to be pre-ordering the parts and the trailer is still in storage.

Thanks, Jeff

I wouldn't pre order.
The bearing part numbers are stamped on the bearings and are available at NAPA. Get Timken.
As are the seal numbers. Get a double lip seal.

I'm going to throw this out there, given the size of the trailer it probably has 3500 lb axles or close to it. In any case, the #84 spindle is the most common size in small trailers.

Don't quote me on numbers but here is what I have found are used in Dexter (and lippert) axles, be they straight, torsion or otherwise. NAPA does not keep Timken and probably doesn't even have it on the web site. They do have SKF made in Mexico or elsewhere.

The best deal going is to order Timken sets which include the bearing and the race. Normally you get a bearing (cone) in one box, and a race (cup) in another box, if you go to an industrial supplier like B&D or Motion Industries.

I have been buying the sets from Summit Racing. The prices are right and you know you are getting genuine Timken and not fakes. Buying online, there are a lot of fakes out there. The bearings and races I have bought in the past year have been USA made (about three trailers worth) and the seals are made in Taiwan, though I have had some made in Mexico (but in both cases, the correct National/Timken product)

Outer bearing L44649
Outer race L44610
The L44649/L44610 together are know as SET4 by Timken
Inner bearing L68149
Inner race L68111
The L68149/L68111 together are known as SET17 by Timken
Seal is a 10-19 ID 1.719 in, OD 2.565 in.
National seal # 473336 (1.719 ID, 2.565 OD, 0.5 wide w/double lip and spring) (National 442251 is single lip wo/spring same dimensions)

All of this for four wheels will set you back about $98. Order a tube of grease and bump it up and get free shipping. Summit is FAST on shipping.

Your trailer probably has 10" brakes but if you wait until you pull the hub/drum units you may find a Dexter p/n sticker on the backing plate. Depending on how much you have towed there may not be enough wear on the shoes and magnets to justify replacing them. As far as bearings, to me, if it says "china" on it, I remove both the bearings and races and chuck them. I am in the process of converting from 5 lug to 6 lug wheels and bought new Dexter hub/drum units and promptly drove out the races and installed new Timkens.

FWIW I originally joined the AirForums when I was looking for a trailer and eventually wound up with SOB, however there is a lot of good information here and I started researching the Centramatics and got to looking at the forum and ....... here I am.
