Need help from the hive mind

I just purchased a gently used Anderson weight control hitch and got it home. I measured the chains and they are 10" too short (my bad) - the p.o. evidently had them shortened to accommodate her Casita trailer. So I need to lengthen them. The chains are unmarked and grey in color, 3/8" x 2" links. I plan on using a Grade 70 double clevis link to join the old with the new. According to this chart https://www.carriersedge.com/courses...oad-Limits.pdf the existing chain has a working load of 2650 lbs.

So the question I have is, is this adequate? It seems it should be as the chain is being used as a weight distribution device in lieu of conventional round bars or trunions, not towing the total weight of the trailer.
I'll probably go with grade 43 just to be safe, but I'd like input.
