Installation of Harwood Floor

I plan to install a Pergo type flooring throughout a '93 Excella 34' long with a queen bed. It has a dinette and a side sofa.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jim

Installation of Harwood Floor

Greetings Jim!

While I didn't handle my own installation, I do have laminate floors in my '78 Minuet that were installed by Fowler Interiors in Symsonia, Kentucky. The Minuet posed some special problems due to its composite aluminum floors, but the same product should perform beautifully with the standard Airstream floors. The Fowlers used Armstrong laminate flooring with Quiet Walk underlayment fabric (this was in addition to the felt attached to the back of the Armstrong laminate panels). The floor is exceptionally quiet and comfortable underfoot. It is available in a number of wood grains as well as other patterns as well - - my coach has the light cherry that is a close match for its cabinetry. It has been nearly a year since installation, and I am quite pleased with the results.

Good luck with your decision!

Kevin

Jim,

Good luck on your project. This subject has been dealt with at length on these forums. Do a search on both "Pergo" and "laminate flooring" and you will come up with a wealth of information.

Like Kevin, I've had mine over a year now, and it is a great improvement!
