What model Gabriel

I want to replace shocks on a 1979 Trade Wind. I'd rather buy Gabriel because my tire shop can order them wholesale, and cannot do that with the Airstream branded shock.

What model # Gabriel?

The only shocks available for that year with horizontal mounted shocks is through an airstream source.

This is my first post type question so may be incomplete. I am trying to replace the shocks on a 2006 Classic 34' Travel Trailer. I contacted Gabriel dealers/parts houses and they cannot cross or find the part number. Is this number only listed for Airstream? If there is a cross to another number would appreciate mfg. and source. Mentioned above is Inland RV and their part number of 12416. Are they a direct cross or a substitute?

Thanks, MatadorX

The correct shocks are only available from an Airstream dealership. Since these are so limited in production numbers no one will carry these. Because of the limited application there are no substitutes.

All other shocks are designed to operate in a vertical position. These are designed to operate in a horizontal position.

These shocks are only available from someone who stocks Airstream parts. My local Airstream dealer did not have them - no surprise when it comes to vintage stuff. So I did what I should have done in the first place; called Inland RV, right part in two days. Very knowledgeable folks with great service. One other thing ,you don't have to drop the axle to install them. You can bend the bracket that holds them out then back to get the job done. Learned that from Inland.

The only shocks available this year occur through an airflow source.
