Anyone using the Fastway Flip Jack foot? which one 2 1/4 in" jack tube? Do you like it, would you recommend it?

I like the idea of not having to put the stand in place when lowering the jack, and banging it loose when raising it. And its another piece loose in the pickup bed when towing. The Flip Jack is always in place, kind of nice.

Am wondering if it will raise and clear the yoke of our ProPride hitch?

Also any thoughts on 4" rise or 6" rise"?

I had one on my 2012 that I installed. I did like it better than the two piece foot.
My new 2013 that I bought last August came with a new type one piece foot that has a round pad on the bottom.

I have a 2013 25' Flying Cloud. Which Fastway Flip Jack Foot should I purchase? The 4" or 6"? Anything I should know regarding installation?
Thanks John

I just put the 6 inch one on our 25' FC. Went on easy enough but I kept blowing the fuse when I raised it up to high. I called the jack manufacturer and they recommended a 40 amp fuse but that did not help. Has anyone had this problem? I am thinking the slip gear in the Jack is not slipping and causing the motor to overwork.

Castaway,

I found that spraying silicon on the entire jack tube has helped. I raised the trailer as high as possible, sprayed the tube, then retracted it almost completely. Don't forget the 'v' notch. After spraying the tube, I raised and lowered the trailer a few times ensuring that the upper tube is lubricated as well.

I also watch how high I retract the jack, I try not to retract it completely.

Good Luck

Drew

I have been using the fastway for over a year and really like it. I used the provided wire and took it all the way to the battery. No problems with the fuse.
If you use the 6" you may have problems on certain uneven terrains, with a 4" you can always use a board if you really want to.
