Proper Sealant Caulking

What is the best product to use on exterior band (Midway down the side and just above the floor). I am referring to the two mental rap-around bands around the outside of the camper. There must be a sealant for a caulking gun to apply to the top of these band to avoid water from seeping down into these areas.

I'm using Lexel sealant.
It is a permanent solution.

Lexel is a great sealant but you can't get it in grey and dirt slowley turns it black.

Going on a few years without a wash and mine is still crystal clear where you can actually see it!

No Lexel is not a permanent solution, don't fall for the marketing hype.. There is no such thing I am afraid. Im right in the middle of fixing leaks on my house that has a metal roof that had lexel applied 11yrs ago and now it leaks like a sieve in about 5 places.

Must be an application failure...
Others here report great success with the stuff, including my 20 year old galvalum roof at nearly 13000 feet in Colorado.
Works great on my Airstream as well. Success over the long term isn't marketing hype!
I do wish it came in a metal color...

Sealants fail from poor application 99% of the time. I used Lexel to seal my sky windows. It is a fantastic sealant that will last for years if applied correctly.
