I'm replacing all my running lights and the scare light. I believe the scare light was leaking so I'm making a new gasket. When I re-install the light should I use Butyl tape where the screws penetrate the shin between the gasket and the skin? Should I do this on the running lights as well?

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.
It would be a good time to replace the entire scare light, and get one that has an LED in it. That way, you shouldn't have to mess with it for many, many years.
