Replace/fix cruddy fixed windows?

The fixed elliptical windows in the living room of my '72 Ambassador are crudded up with disintegrating and rippled tint. What is the best way to fix this problem?

My 73 has double pane windows. A frequent problem with this design is the tinting and caulking separating in the air space. Later models went back to the single pane, less troublesome desigh. I have not done it but other owners have removed the window, seperated the panes and reinstalling only one pane. Hopefully, someone who has more experience with this project will respond. I would guess this information is archived somewhere in the forum.

If you have single panes just use laquer thinner on the inside to disolve the tint.

If the tint is the same as is found on cars, I've used a razor to get the bulk off, followed by rubbing alc to help break down the glue.
