I am SO GLAD I finally changed this!

What you say? The shelf that Airstream used to cover the "rats" nest of electrical cables and to hold the Blueray player and other electronics.

I added a satellite receiver and an HDMI switcher to handle the two tv's. Every time I had to fix something or even breathe on it, it would take me hours to get it all back together working again. It was so tight under the original cabinet that you had to squeeze bundles of cables to get them to fit under the cabinet.

No more!

After looking a while for something that would be low yet covering the rat's nest, I found something on Amazon that fit the bill. It is a two-monitor computer stand.

I only needed two sections of it to hold my devices.

This is the finished product. I used the remaining piece cut down to size to cover the front of one of the sections. Simple but elegant solution and gives me full access to all the wiring. Held down to the floor of the cabinet with velcro.

One of those tubs holds the controllers!

That turned out great Turk! Nice job of re-tasking the computer stand to fit your needs. That’s how an Airstreamer does it.

Perfect timing!

We are in the middle of reworking that same area. Couple questions:
1. Where did you get the HDMI switcher box? We have a 3 to 1 smaller one that works with a remote but it runs very hot. We use it for our Firestick (streaming).

2. Did you retire your Blue Ray player? We aren't using ours yet and not sure we ever will. Seems a waste of a cable/power plug.

We wrestled the satellite cable out of the speaker box and plan to hook it to a WeBoost....which is currently on backorder.

Here is the link to the HDMI switcher box. 4K and four outputs. Two inputs. It's a little expensive but works very well and can switch when it senses an input. It has a remote also but I seldom use it.

I don't even know what I did with the Blueray player! Did not use it even once.
