The TV antenna: to live or not live

I’m working on a few things in our ‘new to us’ 2007 19’ David Winick, and one of them is connectivity. I have torn out all of the old equipment and we are planning on using WiFi streaming from our Chevy Truck, Comcast I think, to an Apple TV connection to our Television. We want to watch things like Netflix and the Tour de France (via apps). I also want to install solar ... should we dismantle the existing TV antenna and free up roof space for solar panels? Any reason why we would want to keep it?

Local stations off the antenna could be a good source of local news and weather when you don't have good connectivity from the truck's hot spot. Other than that, not much reason to keep the antenna. Broadcast TV out west may have longer range into areas where there are few cellular users, and therefore less coverage.
