Satellite

Hi there. Just recently purchased a 2019 Airstream Flying Cloud 25 FB twin. So excited to go camping this July 4th. Need some help locating the coax cable that connects to the satellite receiver inside the trailer. Called the airstream service dept. and was told that it is inside the dvd player compartment inside the cabinet. Took the dvd player out but still can't locate the coax cable that connect behind the satellite receiver. All I see is an extra HDMI cable. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

24brem, our rigs are different so this isn't necessarily transferable. However when we bought our Dish Sat w/wally I followed these threads...

the better more complete thread

post 66 points to here...

post 14 for a splitter install (inc coax connection) Could not find my post w/ instructions but this is the same document. The title is Installing an Exterior Satellite on your AS 2012 to present.

But AS is right. It is there, just fish around. Might be a different color I heard? I pulled our DVD which is in the same cabinets as the stereo but the next level down. A huge rat's nest for sure...plus some other equipment (in mine) that apparently connects a laptop to the stereo. It took up a lot of space.

I decided to call CW and they installed the wally where the DVD was...exact same size, eve reused the Velcro holding it in.

If I need to platy a DVD I simply plug it directly into the TV HDMI 1 or 2

Good Luck.

I have a 2019 Classic and had the same problem as you, no cable in the electronics compartment. I traced the wire from the outside plug to under the dinette chair, up the wall, and found it behind the tv cabinet about 3 feet short of the electronics cabinet. Our systems are different but it shows you the guy in charge of running this wire does not care if for some reason it ends up short.

My point is you need to look for the cable nearby. Remembering my 27', there is a speaker next to the cabinet opening. Take the speaker out or if there is a compartment door, open it up to look for the cable. If it is too short, you can buy a short extension to run to the electronics cabinet or maybe it is just coiled up in there.
