Especially if you can heat the water with both propane and electric. Almost like a flow-through on-demand water heater IMO.

We heat water on the stovetop for washing faces and quickie shower rinse offs. Only use heater when a real shower is needed.

That Hotshot electric conversion is only 400watts instead of 1400watts for the factory version. Makes it better for older trailers.
Just remember the 11.6 is not a full time draw. We have a 31' classic('97WB) and we run everything electrically on 30amps no problem.

Kind of like your house-200amp service, but you don't use 200amps continuously.

Hi

If your trailer has a tank as opposed to some sort of flow through heater, it will take some energy each time you heat up the tank. If your goal is to reduce the strain on the various parts that "heat up" period is likely a maximum strain period. If you are going to use hot water pretty much every two hours all day long, that likely is enough time for the tank to completely cool. You probably are doing more wear and tear shutting it off six or eight times a day than just leaving it on. You certainly are not saving much energy shutting it down that often.

If I'm running late getting to a campground I'll run propane and electric then switch off the propane when I have a tank of hot water. If I'm not in a hurry for hot water I'll just run electric only (most of the time). I'm paying for a campsite, might as well use the power I'm paying for and save my propane.
