Intelitec Battery Disconnect
Good Morning,
I'm looking for help with The Intellitec battery disconnect switch. I have new fully charged batteries, all of my fuses, including the ones either side of the solenoid, are good. 110 and 12V electrical systems are working properly. The switch does not work. Anyway to test if it is defective - too expensive to buy one just to see.

In my manual, in section 8, there is a diagram that shows the disconnect and associated wiring. Not real great diagram but may help you. Have you disconnected shore power and operate disconnect toggle a time or two? With no shore power you should see the use light come on and off with operation off the switch.

Check the 2 fuses located directly on the disconnect solenoid. IIRC, they are 5 amps each. might be the root of your problem.

I have the exact same issue. Have replaced those 2 fuses on either side of the solenoid. However an attempt to operate the switch will blow one of the fuses every time.

Sounds like a short it the wiring to your control switch. Could be in the switch itself or (hopefully not) in the wiring that leads from the switch thru the walls to the solenoid.
After examining the actual switch for issues, continuity tests on the signal wires might lead to more information.

I'll keep trying. Not even the local AS dealer service has an answer. I may install a new switch just to see if that is the problem.
Thanks to all who responded

Mine is going to the shop early April. It's under warranty so just going to let them sort it out.

Hi Griner3
Would let me know what they say about your switch?

I just installed my Intelitec disconnect switch and it is working perfectly. When terminating the main power leads, I notice that the power leads are perilously close to the small gauge wires coming from the fuses. I would ensure this is not the case in this situation. I.e. check for a short at the solenoid fuse terminals.

Battery Dosconnect
At teh end of a 200+ mile trip the switch light was back on. Stayed on until a day after I returned home. A couple of days later the use light was back on. I'll check the wiring as suggested. Since it everything works as if in the use position I'm not even going to mess with switch until I find something wrong and correct it.

The dealer thinks mine is in the harness. I asked them not to touch it as I prefer JC to handle something like that. We're headed there in June so it can wait for now.

I had the same issue with out 2016. It was the harness and we had JC handle it.

Thanks. I solved the problem. Had to get under the forward bed to find it. The green wire going into the fitting under one of the fuses was not in tight. Once properly inserted no further problem.

Where can you find the disconnect solenoid? I have a 2011 International Serenity 27 FB and can't find an electrical diagram for the life of me.

On a 27FB model, the main battery disconnect solenoid is at the front right corner, underneath the bed. You can access it via the front storage hatch. You'll see a beauty panel with mesh to the side of the storage area. Remove that panel held on by handful of philips screws should get you access.
