Florescent Lights
Is there any difference between florescent light bulbs in 110v AC or 12v DC circuits?

I don't think so. The same bulbs should work in 110vAC or 12vDC circuits.* The difference lies in the ballast, not the bulb. As long as you've got the right ballast for the voltage, you should be good.
*Except "compact" fluorescent bulbs do have a voltage requirement.

When I had florescent bulbs, I just replaced them at Lowe's with bulbs the same size.

Linear fluorescent lamps are the same, regardless of ballast voltage, Some LED replacements for fluorescent lamps work with the original ballast in place, on others you disconnect the ballast.

I left the ballasts in place, but bypassed them....in case someone ever wanted a future vintage original restoration. Unlikely.
