I have a 28 foot Excella and the lower half clear coat has deteriorated badly. All of the upper half looks great. Would it look funny if I stripped and polished the lower half or should I just strip the bad clear coat off the lower half. I don’t want the expense of doing the whole trailer.

I think you can. Start with a small section, strip the clear coat and polish to match as close as possible the other. Stripper and polish is cheap. The process is labor intensive. The upper half clear coat is probably living on borrowed time.

Yes, you can do the lower half . As an alternative I stripped my trailer, did not power polish, and recoated. I started to just do the top half but it went easy and I did the whole thing. I used the wipe on and off Al polish from Outdoors mart being careful not to swirl it. Basically just a cleaning. I recoated with Nylaic using a compressor spray gun. I tried the small cans of clear coat and was not happy with them.
