What are these bolts supposed to be holding?

After our return from West Virginia via some very rough roads, I was tightening some screws and bolts and found four bolts that apparently fell completely out of whatever they were securing. Two of the bolts were for the kitchen sink drain. I have not been able to find where the bolts in the photo are supposed to go. The kitchen sink bolts appeared very similar but were about twice as long. Anyone have any ideas of where I should look for missing bolts? Hate to wait until something falls off!

Thanks!

Extra screws to put into your 'what in hell do these fit?" carton.

When I rebuilt automobile engines as a youth, if I had an EXTRA Bolt that was left over... I was in trouble. I removed them and each had a place.... I kept all hardware with the parts they fitted. Extra parts? Never, but I pay attention when necessary. You have Free Hardware from the Lost it and You Found it department,

Not with an Airstream. Loose hardware come out from hiding while being used.

I find unused rivets, screws and bolts. When assembling an Airstream... a bolt, rivet or screw drops... bounces into some place unknown. Another is pulled out and used.

After you purchase and the trailer bounces around... out some come. Not often to see threaded bolts loose. They appear to have had no wear and are new, unused.

Save them. I have tightened plenty of screws and hardware and those do not look familiar. It was your lucky day finding them. If something comes loose... you will find where one or both belong. You are bound to find more 'stuff' in the hard to get places.

This reminds me of some hilariously bad advice I got when I worked as a GM mechanic. My service manager told me once – "If you leave bolts out, it'll go back together quicker!"

I do keep a small plastic container in the Airstream for screws and stuff that show up now and then. Always know where to grab one from when I find something missing a fastener!

Some of this stuff is construction debris. I see it remodeled homes...junk...like soda cans, wires, etc....stuffed in wall cavity or the inaccessible area under stairs.

Thank you for the suggestions! Finally got back to the storage barn today to check the cabinet hinges. The only hinges that had similar bolts were the ones holding the sponge drawer in front of the sink and those hinges still had the bolts in place. Will add them to the spare parts bin for future use. Thanks!
