Marshall... I have not been able to get onto the Forum for a year or two. We are going to the Gila in New Mexico mid next week for 5 to 10 days. Tent camping now. Sold the 25 footer and now can go where we want to... far far back into the bush. Ray

    Hey Ray,
Would you be interested in a trip into The Maze in Canyonlands NP. Not suitable for trailers and at least a high clearance is needed to get in. My idea is set up base camp at Dukes Slickrock RV Park in Hanksville and from there drive into The Maze and tent camp for a couple of days.

    Let me know,
    Marshall

I know you probably didn’t RV much by Boulder but I am looking for a place to camp for four days by Boulder. Any ideas? Your good friend Jo in Chadron, Nebraska.

oh so sorry that we missed this opportunity. the sale of our house took waaaay toooo longggggg. but we are finally, as of June 6, on the road - to Orlando. New family member recently born. But, if there is/are any times of group boondocking events later please do let us know. thanks again and pleasant journeys.

Ray, My wife, myself, and our 8 yr. old daughter may be interested in the Greenhorning Western Nebraska 2017 if we fit in. First, is 8 yrs. to young? I'm 64. Wife 44. We have a newly rebuilt from the ground up 1974 Argosy 22 trailer. We are totally new to traveling with a trailer. Two years ago we spent 3 mo. and 10,000 miles or so traveling and camping the US coast line. Our daughter loved it and took advantage of all the offerings for being a kid ranger. We decided then to spend a year or so traveling the US. Another note, our trailer has a water tank on board, but no toilet. We intend to use a porta-potty. Is that doable? We are intending to pull out early April to paths and adventures unknown. Ahh yeah almost forgot, we have two young dogs. Lab-Retriever mix. They do hike really well.
    Thanks for the offer.

    Hi Ray,
Are you still planning a 2017 greenhorn get together in Colorado? My wife and I are picking up a new 23 1/2 foot Oliver in February and would like to participate, assuming you allow attendance by non-Airstream types.

I thought it would be a good idea to "be prepared" and get a copy of the Wyoming gazetteer for our upcoming adventure. I figured buy it online right? So off to Amazon I go and order Wyoming, and Colorado as well since that would put me over the threshold for free shipping. Would you believe that Homeland Security has a problem with foreigners buying that kind of stuff. They cancelled my order because I live in Canada.

    Thanks Ray,
I just got your response. I am in NYC return to Durango on the 26th of August and plan to drive to CS on the 28th to look at the camper and maybe spend a night in it to test it out. The dates are still a little up in the air due to trying coordinate everything with the seller. It sounds like you are very busy and on a tight schedule also. If it would happen to work out it would be great to your expert opinion. I will probably be in CS for 2 or 3 days then have to return to Duran

    Thanks Ray,
I am traveling and in NYC until the 26th when I will return to Durango and then plan on driving to CS on the 28th to see the camper. The seller has offered to let me camp in it for night to make sure everything is working. He has just recently purchased a new Airstream. I will probably spend 2 or 3 nights in CS to hopefully make a deal to purchase if everything checks out. I will then return to Durango with or without the trailer pick up my son and then drive to Kansas on the 2nd for a wedding returning on the 6th of Sept. I might try and schedule Windish RV to look it over if meeting with you does not work out. It sounds like you are very busy and on a tight schedule also.
I would really appreciate your expert advise from following your posts if it would somehow work out. Thanks for making the effort and the offer.
    Ken

    Thanks Ray,
My hope was to have someone meet me in CS to look it over before purchasing.
