Small leak under the sink: how to fix?

We were cleaning out the area under the sink and noticed a small leak. Water was dripping at the rear left right where the screw attaches the sink to the counter. The screw is tight. It seems the leak is not from the sink basin itself, but from water that had spilled from a bottle behind the sink.

Since the screw is tight, I wonder if adding sealant around the sink where it meets the counter would be enough to address this?

A careful bead of sealant around the edge of the sink, forced into any gaps, then excess wiped off is worth a try. Doesn’t take much of a gap to let some water in.
