I have a 1961 Flying Cloud and two of my Jalousie window panes fell out. I am trying to find the best glass and resource to replace them. Should I use tempered and have them cut and rounded from a glass shop? I can’t seem to find the right specs of precut Jalousie window glass. Thanks!
I had a glass shop provide replacements. Just gave them an example pane and they had everything they needed. I used tempered glass.
You likely will need to replace the small "pucks" that fit in the retainer clip, that is what often causes them to fall out. Vintage Trailer Supply has replacements for sale. You can also get them at vintagetrailergaskets.com
We did the same as 62olander. Our problem was the panes were a light blue tint. We had to go with a light green tint and placed one on top and one on the bottom with the blue in between. Not noticeable. Local glass shop and order a couple extras just in case. Also, Vintage Trailer Gaskets has the jalousie pane gaskets for that. They fit, but we used some adhesive to make sure they held tightly. Good luck
