Though they weren't named specifically, I believe a forums member had a recent unhappy interaction with them on a warranty repair (leaky window.) I've called for a couple of old-school parts for my Argosy and they weren't able to help me, but I have no direct experience with their service department.

We almost used them for a replacement air conditioner, but instead went up to Springfield Missouri to the dealer there -- I just didn't get the warm and fuzzies from them, but I don't have any direct experience either.

And re-reading it, I see that ExploreUSA *was* mentioned by name, but I missed it (and asked later in the thread if it was the one.)

We bought our AS at Explore and didn't like the transaction, so we didn't want to take the chance on the service dept. They act like they don't care too much about you. so we drive to Buda, Texas and take it Camper Clinic (per advice from others on this website) and they are fantastic!

North Dallas Rv is the best place to go in this
area. Even the Airstream Rep told me last
Sat if they do any work for you it will be very
well done.

Airstream Repairs

We had Explore RV do repairs to our 87 Airstream. We are VERY pleased with the workmanship. They scheduled the work to take 5 days and had our rig ready in 4 days. We could not be happier with the work, the service, and the friendliness of the staff. The estimate for repairs was about $3400 and the final price was right on target. Very pleased with them and would use them in the future.

The place is a dump!
Have you ever been there? Or, had any dealings with them?

The PO of our Safari had nearly all the work on our AS done at North Dallas RV (for years) and highly recommended them to us. We haven't had any repairs that we couldn't handle ourselves so no personal experience there yet.

You forgot to mention which facility you had the work completed. There are several of them listed as Airstream sales and service.

We took the Safari up to ExploreUSA in Denton to have new WD hitch installed, interior light replaced, brake controller checked out and was pleased with their service. We had ordered light fixture through them and when we got there it wasn't where it was supposed to be so it took awhile to run it down but they made it right on the bill for us having to wait for them to locate it. At that time, they were not doing any metal repair work because the guy they had had factory trained had quit on them. Haven't been back lately to see if they trained another person, but in the interim despite the outward appearances of North Dallas RV, I only hear great things about their abilities when it comes to the metal work part. Haven't seen much reference to other work they may do.
