Axis, now a division of Al-Ko Axles

A copy of this came across my desk a few days ago, and I thought I'd share:

The Al-Ko web site shows a 12X2" loaded backing plate with a universal 9 bolt backing plate. Does this mean that it will fit the lighter axles where 10" brakes do in addition to the heaver axles?

If I'm able to get one in to try, I'll attempt fitting one on both 10 and 12 inch hubs. Supposedly it will fit, but I like to see it to believe it. If the 12" backing plates will fit, the only thing left would be to find bearings that would fit the 10" spindle and go in a 12" drum, and the last reason for buying the "expensive" 12" axles would be moot.
