Yes!
Another way to think of it is in watts.
50 amp power has (2) 50 amp legs x 120 v. = 12,000 w.
30 amp power has (1) 30 amp leg x 120 v. = 3,600 w.

Watts are what makes the wheels go round! 50 amp has MORE THAN THREE TIMES THE WATTS.

You don't have to use both, so why not get the best of both worlds? It was a deal breaker for me.

I just bought one of these from e-trailer and it is much simpler to hold and manipulate. Like the 90 degree plug, too. Thanks, Mollysdad!
I bought the same one. It is much better. Thanks from me too.

2022 FC 25fbt on order--should we add the 2nd AC here in SE Alabama?

We're new to the whole AS lifestyle, so I honestly don't know how long the ducted AC has been a part of the trailers, but I'm wondering if we can get away with the one unit and simply use a box fan at night if we're hot, or if we should bite the bullet (no pun intended!) and add the 2nd AC unit to our build before it arrives. Suggestions please!!!

Yes, you can get away with it, until the one AC unit breaks down. Two is one, and one is none.

First of all welcome to the forum. It's good to have you are a fellow AS'er!

I would answer your question by saying "it all depends". Will you be camping in the mountains in summer or by the seashore? In the full sun or in shade? Can you tolerate temperatures inside the AS higher than at home?

We have two A/C's and are at the international rally here in Lebanon, TN. We are in the middle of a field with no shade. We are happy for our 2 A/C's here.

I've had an AS with 1 A/C and an AS with 2 A/C's. If I were to buy another one it would have 2 A/C's.

Let us know what you decide!
